Our Alumni Spotlight series continues with Caroline (Wallace) Gammill. Caroline graduated from Harding in 2014, earned her Master’s degree from Texas Christian University in 2016 and is completing her SLPD at Northwestern University in Chicago this March!
I currently work at Pate Rehabilitation in Fort Worth, Texas. It’s a post-acute, day-neuro rehab for adults with acquired brain injuries and it’s my dream job! I completed my graduate work Texas Christian University in the bilingual speech-language pathology program, and I am currently in the inaugural cohort of the Doctor of Speech-Language Pathology program at Northwestern University. I plan to open my own rehab and teach in the future. Harding gave me a solid foundation in basic principles of the field and planted the seeds of critical clinical thinking. Harding also set the cornerstone for why I do what I do – even if I can’t “fix” every patient, I hope they can feel the healing hands of Jesus through me. Harding was the springboard for the rest of my career!
